PgUp on login prompt triggers infinite loop

Description
When you press PgUp/PgDn on the login prompt, it starts printing "Unknown user '(null)'" in an infinite loop. I couldn't find a way to stop it and get back to the login prompt afterwards.

Confirmed here in QEMU and VirtualBox (it actually locks up the host system in VirtualBox as well, resource hog, heh).
