Foster Release Thread

Added by Matthew Iselin over 2 years ago

The release of Foster is planned for release in less than 14 days. To my knowledge all significant show-stopping bugs have been removed, and based on that knowledge I would assume Foster is basically ready to be released. If this is not the case, please point that out here.

NOTE: Using a forum thread rather than an IRC conversation to give a persistent record.

I realize that this isn't all that important, however my personal opinion for some features that would be nice to get implemented for foster (tho I'm not in the dev team, so I wouldn't know the feasability):

  • get ctrl-c working reliably
  • Fix the virtual consoles (they dont work at all atm)
  • Documentation?
  • Pacman and/or tetris :)

Just a few suggestions...

Daniel,

I've fixed the first two points. Documentation is something we will be bringing up in the days leading up to release - the project wiki will contain information and "How-To" pages. As for Pacman or Tetris... If you can point me towards an open source, ncurses-based Tetris or Pacman game with minimal dependencies, consider it done. If it's in Python, that works too!

Cheers,
Matt
